What the module does
DevTracker is our own npm package. It rides along in your command line, recognises active work by project and context and keeps time running – without you starting a timer.
Start, stop, add afterwards. For calls, meetings and everything that does not happen at the keyboard.
Forgotten stops, breaks and time windows can be straightened out afterwards. Rules stop an open timer from turning into a 14-hour day.
Filter by project, client, person and period. Totals and trends for invoicing, quoting and planning.
Time leaves the system in common formats and can be imported the same way – the data is yours.
Entries hang off tasks, projects and organisation roles. Who may view and export what is governed by permissions.
What it is not: not payroll, and not statutory working-time recording with a works-council workflow.
